The Mohawk Hudson Bonsai Society was founded in 1968 by a group of local enthusiasts and has grown to become one of the leading Bonsai clubs in the northeastern United States.
Whether you’re a Bonsai beginner or experienced artist, we welcome you to attend one of our meetings or events. The club offers instruction for beginners to advanced students and hosts frequent guest Bonsai masters conducting workshops and demonstrations.
MHBS meets on the last Sunday of each month at 12:00 Noon, January through November (dates vary with Holidays). Meetings are held at DJH Bonsai in Feura Bush, NY unless otherwise noted.
Education
All levels of experience are welcome from beginner to advanced and in between. Bonsai education is a focus with members learning about trees and techniques both from experienced visiting masters and from each other.
Experience
Workshops often involve learning about a skill or work on member’s own trees or available stock. Masters will demonstrate skills and techniques on demonstration trees for all to view.
Fun
If if isn’t fun, it isn’t bonsai. 🙂
