JUNE 10 MHBS TO PARTICIPATE IN SPECIAL SHOW IN THE KEY BANK ROOM
MHBS has been invited to show off some great bonsai and promote the club at the Albany Ad Club’s annual NORI Awards on June 10 at Proctors. The event’s theme is “Sayonori” and raffle proceed will benefit National Bonsai Foundation’s Tohoku Disaster Relief Fund in support of Japanese bonsai artists affected by the recent tsunami.
We will set up around 4 PM and remove our trees around 7:30 PM. If you have some serious bonsai you would like to display please contact Pauline or Larry soon. We also need a few members to answer questions at the reception. So far we have Kiszkiels, Muths, Tallman, and Mossey as volunteers at the event. If you wish to help let us know. Larry is also helping to use his talents to design a one page ad for our club that will appear in the program for the evening. The Ad Club is providing staging for the event.
On a related note, we are looking for a web master to head up the new website and keep it up to date. Larry will help.
