Happy 2025 to all of our members and friends! Please check out our updated calendar of events in the TWIG and on the events page for info about our 2025 club events!
Check the events page, calendar, and/or The TWIG for details on our upcoming virtual presentation by Jonas Dupuich on January 26th.
We hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season and is keeping warm through the cold winter months. Spring will be around the corner soon.
The holiday party and luncheon was great fun with 35 members and guests at McGreivy’s in Waterford for the second year running! It was wonderful to see many long time members as well as new members and friends.

The club meeting for election of officers took place. Many thanks to our nominating committee of Patricia Tatich, Dan Bee, and Arika Adams for their work in proposing candidates for positions within the club.
Congratulations to the officers/directors unanimously approved by club members at the luncheon:
Vice President: Dan Bee
Secretary: Nancy Castillo
Communications Director: Arika Adams
Activities Director: Jon Stewart
Honorary lifetime membership was conferred upon Alan Tallman for his generous donations to our club and he joins Myron Muth on a plaque which will be displayed at DJH Bonsai to honor lifetime members, designed and donated by Patricia Tatich.

In addition to being a good time, our holiday party is a significant fundraising event for the club. The traditional mystery auction as well as a silent auction of pots, trees, and other items was held and raised $2,363 for future club activities! Our silent auction also featured a number of items donated by Alan Tallman, including six Nick Lenz pots, a tokanoma, a turntable stand and more. Many thanks to Bill Papura and Jon Stewart for an excellent job working the auctioneer’s block.
Picture collages are courtesy of Nancy Castillo in her last December issue of the TWIG, which will now be put together going forward by Arika Adams as Communications Director……many thanks to Nancy for all the work and great newsletter issues over your tenure!
