Membership renewals are due and can be purchased on our online payments page for individuals or households – no inflation here! dues rates are being held steady.
Also, please note the time and day change for our upcoming January event: “Repotting: An Underview” a virtual presentation by Michael Hagedorn on January 19th @ 4pm. (email to follow with a link to access the zoom presentation). The more participants the better, so please consider joining us 🙂
We had a wonderful end to 2025 at The MHBS with our November Wiring Workshop and December Holiday Party
Our November wiring workshop was hosted and presented by Dave Hodgetts at DJH Bonsai in Feura Bush. Many thanks to Dave for sharing his knowledge and workspace with the club to help learn and work on this essential bonsai skill with members of all experience levels.
The holiday party this year at Dinosaur BBQ in Troy was great fun! We saw old friends and new, ate great food and shared stories, and bid on silent and blind bonsai auctions which benefit the MHBS.
Officers were voted on, with Arika Adams and Nancy Castillo remaining our Communications Director and Secretary respectively. Jon Stewart, our former activities director, was elected president of the club so we look forward to his tenure and a very big THANK YOU to our former president for the last several years, Bill Papura! And thanks also to Jon and Bill for being our auction MC’s.
As always, a HUGE thank you too to all our members for a wonderful year – you are what really make The MHBS and our local bonsai community thrive!
